It is with great sadness that we are following the events currently unfolding in Ukraine. BAPLA completely rejects the use of violence and stands in solidarity with Ukraine and Ukrainian people, in a conflict that could and should be resolved through peaceful means.

As a member of CEPIC we too are part of a creative global community that works together to support each other through the exchange of knowledge, information, and partnership. Our membership consists of a diverse group which include general stock and news agencies who work with partners both from Ukraine and Russia.

Our thoughts are with all those who are directly affected by the Russian aggression and occupation of Ukraine. We call on Russia to cease the hostilities and respect international law and human rights, and on European countries to welcome all people displaced by the conflict and immediately ensure their safety and well-being.

We stand with those in the creative and cultural world who are showing solidarity for their colleagues in Ukraine.
