Following the guidance from Public Health England on the COVID-19 crisis, fotofringe London which was due to take place on Thursday 23 April has been cancelled.

We are exploring ways to make our workshops available as webinars and will release details as soon as possible.

BAPLA will host a series of workshop-style industry masterclasses at fotofringe London on 23 April 2020

The workshops offer an opportunity to develop your professional knowledge, learning from industry insiders, and to share your questions and expertise with peers.

The sessions are free to attend, but please register in advance to avoid disappointment on the day as space is limited.

10:00 - 11:00 Skills in contemporary media

Industry experts lead a discussion on sourcing video and social media content.

11:15 – 12:15 Fair dealing versus fair use

Anna Skurczynska, Founder Director of Open Plan Law uses practical examples to explain why we apply the principle of fair dealing in the UK, rather than the US fair use regime which is often more contentious.

12:30 – 13:30 Let’s talk about rights

A dialogue on publishing rights, building understanding between agencies and publishers by discussing key contractual issues such as model releases.
