January Highlights from Nature Picture Library

Wild cats of the world, UK marine life and desert ecosystems are just three of the subjects covered in our latest January highlights gallery.

Alex Mustard reveals the beautiful natural treasures that live beneath Britain’s seas, Paul Williams captures the behaviour of wild cats big and small from the BBC Big Cats series, and we welcome new contributor Ugo Mellone, who specialises in documenting desert landscapes and wildlife.
