The collected work of Lee Miller (1907-1977) includes 60,000 B&W negatives and 1000 original prints. Main subject areas: Surrealists, celebrities, fashion, artists, poets and writers from the late 1920s to 1970s including - Agar, Braque, Carrington, Cocteau, Dietrich, Delvaux, Eluard, Ernst, Maar, Magritte, Man Ray, Miro, Moore, Paolozzi, Roland Penrose, Picasso, Schiaparelli, Steinberg, Tapies and Dylan Thomas; Extensive studies of Egypt and Romania in the 1930s; London during the Blitz; Women at War - WRENS/ATS; War in Europe - WWII including the siege of St. Malo, Paris liberation, Russian/American link-up at Torgau, fighting in Alsace & liberation of Dachau and Buchenwald.
