The BBC’s unique archive collection of photographs, dating back to 1922 and the earliest days of radio and television broadcasting.
The collections include drama, comedy and entertainment programmes, personalities, news events and early radio appearances of musicians, broadcasters, politicians and celebrities.
The library retains predominantly BBC copyright material and consists of over ten million colour and b&w images, constantly updated with new material from all parts of the BBC.
