Open Plan Law is a boutique law firm, established with the specific aim of providing legal advice to the photographic and creative industries.

Its founder, Anna Skurczynska, specialises in legal issues affecting the photography sector.

Having managed the EMEA legal team at Corbis Images she has an in-depth understanding of both legal and commercial aspects of photography licensing and enforcement.

She served as BAPLA’s director between the years 2013-2015 and continues to represent it, with Isabelle Doran, at the British Copyright Council.

Her work for the creative industries earned her a nomination for the Solicitor of the Year in the Law Society’s Excellence Awards 2018.

Open Plan Law focuses on the protection of intellectual and human capital by advising on intellectual property and employment law.

As our firm’s name suggests, we work with our clients in the spirit of collaboration.

We invest into getting to know their businesses and combine top class client care (including clear legal fees estimates) with commercial pragmatism.

Our approach has gained us a following of sophisticated international clients from media, visual arts, technology, legal and private equity sectors.
