FOCAL International Board announces chair Sue Malden steps down

The Board of FOCAL International formally announces today that Sue Malden has stepped down as Chair.

Sue has made unique and pioneering contributions to the Association and is widely recognised as an authority on the audiovisual industry.

Her experience and knowledge has been invaluable and has led to many successes during her time as FOCAL Chair.

The Executive Board and everyone at FOCAL would like to extend our gratitude to Sue for her significant contribution, guiding support and promotion of FOCAL over the years.

We wish her the very best of luck in the future.

Sue Malden commented:

“It has been a privilege and delight to be chair of FOCAL International for the past 15 years or so. I am certain that Mary and Madeline will be terrific at taking FOCAL forward.

I see this time as a natural moment to pass the baton. I’d like to thank the board and FOCAL members for all their support and contribution to FOCAL International over these years.”

Sue will continue her involvement with FOCAL as a valued member of the Events & Exhibition committee and Training committee.

Madeline Bates, Director of Outreach and Mary Egan, Director of Operations will continue to manage and develop FOCAL going forward.
