Alamy to support film and TV sector in new partnership with the London Screen Academy

Alamy, the world’s most inclusive content platform, has struck a partnership with the London Screen Academy (LSA), reinforcing its commitment to support the production sector as it invests in growth, training, and diversity
The partnership will see Alamy work with the LSA to educate students on the licensing and use of content within film and TV production and will act as an integral partner in developing the next generation of talent for the sector.
As global streaming giants shift production towards the UK, the film and TV industry is investing in 30,000 new jobs and training 10,000 people, and both LSA and Alamy will now work together to equip them moving forward.
The platform has also launched strategic partnerships with commercial content agencies EyeEm and Africa Studio, iThe LSA – set up by industry giants David Heyman, Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Lisa Bryer, Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli – is a new sixth form academy in north London for young people who are passionate about film and TV to train in behind the camera skills and learn about the wider cultural context surrounding storytelling and filmmaking. The LSA is both Government and privately funded, and its central aim is to address the stark lack of diversity in the UK screen industries by recruiting a highly diverse student body, and providing their students with a true pathway into industry.

Alamy will offer masterclasses, support, guidance, and networking to LSA students, as well as the use of over 200 million images from the world’s most inclusive content platform for use in coursework and presentations.
The partnership builds on Alamy’s existing footprint within the sector, with clients including Freemantle, Endemol, Avalon and the BBC.
