Alamy Publishes Timeline of the BBC

Alamy has published a fantastic timeline of the BBC, in pictures spanning over 100 years.

2022 marks 100 years of the BBC when it launched its first radio service in 1922. Alamy invites us to take a look back at milestones and features throughout the years, illustrated with archival images of years gone by.

There are images from the first televised episode of Doctor Who, the debut of Top Of The Pops in 1964, Newsround presented by John Craven which went on air in April 1972, the launch of the BBC Microcomputer launched in January 1982 and more.
