On this day: 22 January 1901

Queen Victoria died 120 years ago today, and we are taking the opportunity to mark the day by showcasing some interesting images from our image library with particular links to this long-serving British monarch.

Victoria came to the throne in 1837 and reigned for over 63 years, a period spanning Britain’s great age of industrial advancement, economic progress, and the expansion of empire.
